This course includes a study of the physical and chemical properties, and the manipulation of and uses for most commonly used dental materials. The lecture component will present background information about the dental materials.

- Discuss legal application of common dental materials in accordance to the State of Michigan’s scope of practice for dental hygienists.
- Identify legal responsibilities for the dental hygienist when utilizing dental materials in the State of Michigan.
