Group V Course: 2.00 - 3.00 credit hours

- Any PHED‑2000 level course-PHED 2076 is recommended for students who need American Heart Association (AHA) CPR certification
Notes:
1 Course may be taken any time prior to or during the program, including the summer semester; it must be completed prior to the completion of your program in order to graduate.
2 Competency in arithmetic and basic algebra is needed. Consider taking MATH 0050 or MATH 0070 if your score on the pre‑algebra section of COMPASS was less than 27.
3 All winter first semester courses must be successfully completed before RSPT 1260 may be taken. RSPT 1115 , RSPT 1140 , RSPT 1200 and RSPT 1210 must be completed with grade ‘C’ or better before taking RSPT 1260 .
4 RSPT 2250 must be competed with grade ‘PASS’ before taking RSPT 1260 .
5 RSPT 2360 must be completed with grade ‘PASS’ before taking RSPT 2370 .
* Prerequisites must be completed prior to the selective admission deadline of February 15 in order to be considered for admission to the program. Biology classes must have been completed within 10 years of the start of this program.
- A minimum of 18 credit hours of Arts & Sciences courses (Groups I‑V) are needed as well as a minimum of 62 total credit hours for the associate degree.
- It is strongly recommended that you work with a counselor, advisor or department coordinator.

- RSPT 1260 is the summer course where time will be divided between classroom, laboratory, and clinical time.
- ITML 1000 Microcomputer Literacy is recommended for students lacking basic computer skills.
- HHSC 1700 , Medical Terminology, may also be helpful to the respiratory therapy student.
