This course covers advanced expression, effects, 3D camera, motion tracking techniques as students build their presentation reels to strict requirements and guidelines through a series of comprehensive projects. Projects will cover a wide range of motion tracking, kinetic motion text and design, track mattes, color keys, and CGI composite animation techniques for the purpose of preparing students for positions within the integrated full service media/motion industry.

Search for Sections OUTCOMES AND OBJECTIVES Outcome 1: Upon completion of this course, students will be able to utilize filters, effects and presets to modify animation and change the appearance of footage.Objectives: - Apply effects and presets.
- Use transition effects.
- Utilize color correction and adjustment layers.
Outcome 2: Upon completion of this course, students will be able to paint on layers. Objectives: - Edit a paint stroke.
- Morph paint strokes over time.
- Create write-on effect with eraser tool.
- Use the clone stamp tool.
- Utilize painting through the scribble effect.
Outcome 3: Upon completion of this course, students will be able to utilize masks. Objectives: - Draw masks with the pen tool.
- Draw custom bézier masks.
- Use multiple mask modes.
- Animate and change mask shapes.
Outcome 4: Upon completion of this course, students will be able to create track mattes. Objectives: - Use alpha channels.
- Import and alter alpha and luminance channels.
- Create a track matte.
- Use soft-edged track mattes.
Outcome 5: Upon completion of this course, students will be able to work with color keys. Objectives: - Choose an appropriate color key.
- Adjust and fix color key selections.
- Use Keylight and view key results.
Outcome 6: Upon completion of this course, students will be able to use work with 3D layers. Objectives: - Utilize multiple 3D layers.
- Create custom camera views.
- Work with various lighting techniques.
- Add and animate cameras.
- Animate a camera’s point of interest.
Outcome 7: Upon completion of this course, students will be able to use expressions to enhance animation. Objectives: - Add expression and relationship attributes.
- Create property relationships.
- Multiply expression values.
- Use text, effects, and expressions.
- Use java-script expression language.
Outcome 8: Upon completion of this course, students will be able to track motion and stabilize footage. Objectives: - Track motion within video to apply to other layers.
- Stabilize video footage.

Week 4. Practical: Create a Write-on effect and utilize Pressure Sensitivity with Paint Tools
Week 5. Lecture: Morph Paint Strokes
Week 5. Practical: Modify the shape of a Paint Stroke over time
