SIGN 2010 - American Sign Language 4Credit Hours: 3.00 Prerequisites: SIGN 1030 or pass competency exam
SIGN 2010 students will strengthen and master the skills obtained in SIGN 1010 and SIGN 1020, and SIGN 1030 towards mastering ASL at an intermediate level. They will enhance expressive and receptive skills and vocabulary. This course is structured into logical grammatical units such as sentence types, pronominalization and classifiers. Highlighted topics include sociological aspects of deafness, hearing loss, medical and audiological perspectives and ASL compared to English.
