+ The Veterinary Technician program is academically rigorous and while there are some students who are successful taking the General Education courses along with the VETT courses, it is recommended that students complete as many of these courses as possible prior to entering the program.
MATH 0070 may not be required if you have an acceptable placement score, are registered in a higher level math, or have a higher level math on your college transcript. See a counselor or advior to determine if you are required to take MATH 0070.

*A critical course is a course that is highly correlated with success in a particular program and field. Critical courses are identified by the academic department as courses that the student should have a high level of understanding and comprehension in order to progress successfully in the program.
**A recommended course is a suggestion or an advised option that correlates to the respective program. Recommended courses complement the skill set(s) required to be successful and are considered to be beneficial for enhancing students’ education in the program. Recommended courses are not mandatory. In some cases there may not be recommended courses.
***An exploratory course is one that provides a student a broad overview of a particular field/area of study and associated occupations. Exploratory courses help students better understand if that particular program is a good fit for the student to pursue given their interests and career goals.
