Program Description:
The Computer Science program is designed specifically for students who wish to transfer to a baccalaureate degree program in Computer Science. Students will complete fundamental programming courses and will select a limited number of IT-specific electives for transfer to their desired destination. Students will also complete courses that satisfy the Michigan Transfer Agreement (MTA).
Program Outcomes:
Upon completion of this program, the student will be able to:
1. Write, debug, and test a computer program in order to solve a particular business problem.
2. Demonstrate familiarity with how computer programs interact with databases, networks, and web applications.
3. Demonstrate the ability to design and build programs using functional and object-oriented programming. Students will use 2 or more of the following programming languages (python, C++, Java, .Net, Swift).
4. Demonstrate the ability to critically analyze a problem and to design, implement, and evaluate a solution to accomplish requirements.
Requirements & Specific Information:
Students must take MATH 1760 as part of their Math MTA sequence.
