Program Description:

The International Business program is designed to prepare students for opportunities in an increasingly global economy. The program emphasizes knowledge in international business, global trade, and emerging markets. Students will learn about strategies used by multi-national corporations to deal with and impact cross-border political, legal, economic, geographical, and social/cultural issues.

Program Outcomes:

Upon completion of this program, the student will be able to:

  • Analyze the societal, political, legal, competitive, geographical, economic, socio/cultural environment of multinational organizations to develop competitive strategies in a global environment.
  • Analyze cultural values in the implementation of business strategies.
  • Identify the risks and opportunities presented for businesses that operate in global markets.
  • Develop strategies for entering foreign markets including exporting, licensing, trade agreements, strategic alliances and direct foreign investment.
  • Identify sources of international law, including customs, treaties, and international conventions.
