Program Description:
The Speech Communication Arts program prepares students either to transfer to a four-year institution or to assume entry level positions in communication related fields.
Program Outcomes:
Upon completion of this program, the student will be able to:
- Model formal and informal use of voice for variety of audiences in multiple contexts.
- Communicate using effective communication skills in diverse workplace teams and organizations.
- Demonstrate interpersonal communication competence.
- Communicate effectively to a variety of audiences in various formats and styles.
- Communicate ethically to local, national, and international participants and leaders.
- Construct effective programs for a variety of mass media contexts.
- Create professional communication strategies and messages for groups and organizations.
