Program Outcomes:

Upon completion of this program, the student will be able to:

1. Outline aspects of human behavior and mental processes fundamental to the basic areas of psychology.

2. Incorporate theories and concepts from the basic content areas of psychology in their oral and written communication.

3. Apply critical thinking skills to problems related to scientific inquiry in psychology.

Requirements & Specific Information:

Students electing the Associate of Arts in Pre-Psychology should maintain close contact with an academic advisor or counselor to assure construction of a plan of studies that meets the requirements of the student’s chosen transfer institution.

Career Opportunities:

Transfer Pathways:

Students intending to transfer and complete a bachelor’s degree need to make early decisions concerning an academic major and a transfer destination. Statistics show that students who make these decisions early are more likely to persist to graduation than their undecided counterparts. Students planning to transfer credits earned at Macomb are strongly urged to see a counselor or academic advisor as early as possible in their college careers.
