Program Description:
The Finance program prepares students for entry‑level positions in the field of corporate money management and enhances the skills of individuals currently employed in corporate finance, banking, lending, and investment. The program provides specialized knowledge in the various financial markets, financial decision making, and financial operations as they are practiced in American business.
Program Outcomes:
Upon completion of this program, the student will be able to:
1. Describe the basic principles of finance and apply them within the profession.
2. Integrate finance with other areas in the corporate business management environment.
3. Explain the fundamentals of the financial-services industry (FSI) and stock market system.
4. Interpret financial accounting information that appears on financial statements by performing various analyses.
5. Analyze financial accounting information that is utilized to make and monitor business decisions.

Students intending to transfer and complete a bachelor’s degree need to make early decisions concerning an academic major and a transfer destination. Statistics show that students who make these decisions early are more likely to persist to graduation than their undecided counterparts.
