Program Description:

The Manufacturing Engineering program will prepare the learner for a career in Manufacturing Engineering and provide a learning environment with the relevant experiences, allowing the learner to develop the appropriate skills necessary to provide solutions to real world manufacturing engineering situations.

Program Outcomes:

Upon completion of this program, the student will be able to:

1. Identify the different classifications and properties of ferrous and non-ferrous materials, and will be able to describe production, manufacturing, and processing methods of ferrous and non-ferrous materials.

2. Identify the process methods and characteristics of heat-treating and hardness testing.

3. Describe the methods used in production inspection and quality control.

4. Explain traditional and non-traditional material processes.

5. Determine the welding process and methods of welding.

6. Explain automation process applications.

Career Opportunities:

Manufacturing Engineering-Associate of Applied Science-Career Opportunities: Job titles such as industrial engineering technician, mechanical engineering technician, manufacturing engineering technician are attainable upon completion of this course of study.
