CSFT-8098 IT Skills Bootcamp


Immerse yourself in a comprehensive curriculum designed to master the fundamentals of computer hardware, software, and troubleshooting. Delve into the intricacies of operating systems, hardware components, and connectivity technologies, all while aligning with CompTIA A+ exam objectives. Guided by experienced instructors, engage in hands-on labs and real-world simulations to develop practical skills in PC assembly, maintenance, and problem-solving. The class prepares the student to take the CompTIA A+ certification exam by utilizing practice tests and strategic tips. Students should expect 4-8 hours of course work outside of class time. Students will take the CompTIA A+ Core 1 (220-1101) and Core 2 (220-1102) exams on the last day of class.

Evaluation
Students will evaluate this course by completing the Student Evaluation of Class form distributed electronically at the end of the course.

Successful Completion
The instructor will evaluate the student’s skills learned using attendance, participation, feedback, testing where appropriate, and projects completed.

80 % attendance is required; 100% attendance is recommended, as no special arrangements will be made for missing class.

80% = 77 hours.

Upon successful completion, this course will appear on the student’s Macomb Community College non-credit transcript.
