CSFT-8097 Data Analysis and Visualization with PowerBI Recommended to have a working knowledge of using Excel with large datasets and a basic understanding of core data analytics concepts. This course is designed to introduce PowerBI as a tool for analyzing, visualizing, and reporting on organizational data. Students will learn how to access data from a variety of data sources, transform the data, and then create visuals, dashboards, and KPIs. Students will also learn how to manipulate data using the DAX language.

Evaluation Students will evaluate this course by completing the electronic Student Evaluation of Class form distributed via email after the last class session.
Successful Completion The instructor will evaluate the student’s skills learned using attendance, participation, feedback, testing where appropriate, and projects completed. 75 % attendance is required; 100% attendance is recommended, as no special arrangements will be made for missing class. 75% = 18 hours.
Upon successful completion, this course will appear on the student’s Macomb Community College non-credit transcript.
