Define the skills you need in your business today based on your operations and future plans
Match the skills you need with the existing skills you have in your workplace
Developing the steps necessary to identify the jobs you need to fill based on the skills you lack
Creating a plan to fill those jobs
Identify where you will recruit for your job opportunities
Develop a process to select the best person for your open positions.

Activities/Resources
Students will learn through discussion, activities, and peer-to-peer learning. Project work will be assigned.
Evaluation
Students will confidentially evaluate this course by completing the electronic Student Evaluation of Class form distributed via email after the last class session.

Successful Completion
The instructor will evaluate the student’s skills learned using attendance, participation, feedback, testing where appropriate, and projects completed.

75 % attendance is required; 100% attendance is recommended, as no special arrangements will be made for missing class.

75% = 3.75 hours.

Upon successful completion, this course will appear on the student’s Macomb Community College non-credit transcript.
