HLTH-8118 Dosage Calculations in Pharmacy Practice Prerequisites None Students will explore the methods to solve calculations used in the practice of pharmacy to work as a Pharmacy Technician. Developing prescription literacy skills, applying measurement systems, performing oral and parenteral dosages, solving special calculations in compounding, and application to business math in the pharmacy will be explored. A basic math review including a review of subdivisions of numbers (fractions, decimals, etc.), the use of ratios, percent, and proportions and solving unknowns using the ratio-proportion method will be presented at the onset of the course.
