KiDS-8249 Genius Blast Off Rocketry! Ages 8-12+ Prerequisites None
Shoot for the sky! Students learn about rockets and rocketry as they assemble, design, and prepare their own rocket for launch day. An experienced Genius Education rocketry instructor supervises the launch site. Students prepare their own rockets and use a remote launch trigger after the instructor prepares each rocket on the launch site. Each student can retrieve their rocket to keep and take home to show friends and family.

Evaluation Students will confidentially evaluate this course by completing the Student Evaluation of Teaching form at the last class session.
Successful Completion The instructor will evaluate skills learned using attendance, participation, feedback, testing where appropriate, and projects completed. 75% attendance is required; 100% attendance is recommended, as no special arrangements will be made for missing class. 75% attendance = 11.25 hours. Upon successful completion, this course will appear on the student’s Macomb Community College non-credit transcript.
