This course will introduce students to basic anatomy and physiology, common pathology, diagnostic measures and treatment modalities applied to the field of Medical Assisting. Topics include cells, tissues, organs and the various body systems: integumentary, skeletal, muscular, endocrine, nervous system, cardiology, circulatory, lymphatic, respiratory, digestive, urinary and reproductive systems. This course has been designed specifically for students in the Medical Assistant and Health Information Technology programs.
