ATEE 2500 - National Electrical Code

In this class, students will validate their knowledge of the National Electrical Code as they prepare to take the State of Michigan Journeyman Electrician exam.

OUTCOMES AND OBJECTIVES
Outcome 1: The student will be able to interpret the National Electric Code (NEC). 

Objectives: 

  1. Interpret the meaning of Article 90 of the NEC. 

  1. Identify the definitions used in Article 100 of the NEC. 

  1. Articulate the different jurisdictions that may be on a jobsite. 

 

Outcome 2: The student will be able to demonstrate how to reference the National Electric Code (NEC) for a given application. 

Objectives: 

  1. Identify correct chapters and articles in the NEC for an application. 

  1. Interpret the articles for a given application.
