WHES 2098 - Health & Wellness Coaching Practicum

Credit Hours: 2.00


Prerequisites: WHES 2094 

Students will begin coaching clients to work toward the required 50 coaching sessions needed for the National Board for Health and Wellness Coaching (NBHWC) certified board exam. Students will be required to present a portfolio that has been developed within the three previous courses.

OUTCOMES AND OBJECTIVES
Outcome 1: Upon completion of this course, the student will be able to complete practice coaching sessions for individual and/or group sessions.

Objectives:

  1. Utilize core coaching competencies.
  2. Utilize the National Board for Health and Wellness Coaching (NBHWC) coaching log for tracking client sessions.
  3. Generate self-reflection log for each coaching session.
  4. Summarize the overall coaching experience.

 

Outcome 2: Upon completion of this course, the student will be able to complete the construction of their health and wellness coaching portfolio.

  1. Include the NBHWC Coaching log.
  2. Include the self-reflection log.
  3. Include the summary of the overall coaching experience.  
  4. Include materials for the National Board for Health and Wellness Coaching exam application.
