ROBO 1200 - Robot Operations, Handling Tool, & Programming Credit Hours: 3.00 Prerequisites: None
(replaces ROBO 1110 and ROBO 1440 together but does not equate to either course separately)
This is an introductory course covering the tasks and procedures needed to safely setup, program, and maintain a robots with handling tool software. It involves both classroom instruction and hands-on training.

- Setup and execute tool, user, and jog frames.
- Store and load programs from the USB port on the teach pendant.

- Add positional offsets to a functional program.
- Monitor program parameters in executed program.
Outcome 6: The student will be able to operate a robot.

- Adjust program parameters as needed.
- Change encoder batteries.
- Re-master a robot.

- Safely power up the robot from a complete shutdown.
- Manipulate the robot using the teach pendant.
- Set up and test robot movement parameters for a given work cell.
- Create and test programs for a given task.
- Edit programs in teach mode.
- Master and calibrate the robot.
- Review safety procedures.

- Recover from common program and robot faults.
