AUTO 1091 - Service Floor 1 Credit Hours: 3.00 Prerequisites: AUTO 1000 , AUTO 1040 , AUTO 1100 , and AUTO 1130
(formerly AUTO 1090)
This course provides the students with hands-on automotive service experience. Emphasis and tasks related to brakes, steering, suspension and alignment diagnosis and repair.

Objectives:
- Operate alignment rack.
- Mount sensors to vehicle.
- Measure and diagnose alignment readings.
- Adjust alignment angles to specifications.
Outcome 2: Upon completion of this course, students will be able to perform brake jobs.
Objectives:
- Complete drum brake service.
- Complete disc brake service.
- Machine brake drums and rotors.
- Bleed hydraulic systems.
Outcome 3: Upon completion of this course, students will be able to inspect the steering and suspension systems.
Objectives:
- Identify and inspect loaded ball joints.
- Identify and inspect steering linkage.
- Identify and inspect suspension components.
