AUTO 1130 - Automotive Steering & Suspension Credit Hours: 3.00 Prerequisites: None
(formerly AUTO 1110 and AUTO 1120)
This course will cover automotive steering, suspension and alignments as well as diagnosis and service procedures.

OUTCOMES AND OBJECTIVES Outcome 1: Upon completion of this course, students will be able to perform an inspection and service of steering system components.
Objectives:
- Demonstrate the proper procedure for testing tie rods.
- Describe the function of the components that make-up a steering system.
- Demonstrate the proper use of tools used to service steering systems.
Outcome 2: Upon completion of this course, students will be able to perform an inspection and service of the suspension system.
Objectives:
- Demonstrate the proper procedure for testing ball joints.
- Describe the function of the components that make-up the suspension systems.
- Demonstrate the proper use of tools to service suspension systems.
Outcome 3: Upon completion of this course, students will be able to perform a four wheel alignment.
Objectives:
- Demonstrate a camber adjustment.
- Demonstrate a caster adjustment.
- Demonstrate a toe adjustment.
