OUTCOMES AND OBJECTIVES Outcome 1: Upon completion of the course, the student will demonstrate advanced analytical methods of perceiving the human form.
Objectives: During the course the student will:
- Apply advanced modeling principals to visualized solid form.
- Express an advanced awareness of how to express thoughts and emotions using the figure in 2 dimensional drawings
Outcome 2: Upon the completion of the course, the student will demonstrate advanced ability to apply concepts and techniques to significant drawings.
Objectives: During the course the student will:
- Produce advanced figure studies in charcoal.
- Apply significant compositional concepts in figure drawing.
- Produce advanced portrait studies in pastel.
Outcome 3: Upon the completion of the course, the student will demonstrate an advanced knowledge of skeletal and muscular anatomy.
Objectives: During the course the student will:
- Identify the skeletal structure of the human form in drawing
- Identify the muscular anatomy of the human form in a drawing
Outcome 4: Upon the completion of the course, the student will demonstrate the different materials and techniques of drawing throughout art history.
Objectives: During the course the student will:
- Identify a series of terms and art historical images
- Exhibit proper studio etiquette
