(formerly ITNC 2100) ITNC-2110 introduces the student to WAN technologies and network services required by converged applications in a complex network. This is the fourth of four courses to prepare students for the Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) Routing & Switching exam .

Prerequisites:

Prerequisite: ITNC-2000 or ITNC-2010

OUTCOMES AND OBJECTIVES
Outcome 1: Upon completion of this course, students will be able to explain WAN protocols.

Objectives:

Describe different WAN technologies and their benefits.
Describe the operations and benefits of virtual private networks (VPNs).
Describe the operation of protocol tunneling.
Describe the operation of network monitoring protocols.

Outcome 2: Upon completion of this course, students will be able to implement WAN technologies.

Objectives:

Configure serial protocols.
Configure Network Address Translation (NAT).
Configure an IPSec VPN.
Configure a GRE tunnel.

Outcome 3: Upon completion of this course, students will be able monitor network operations.

Objectives:

Implement Syslog reporting.
Implement the Simple Network Management Protocol.
Implement NetFlow monitoring.
