SGN 292 - American Sign Language 1


Learn how to sign and communicate with the deaf and hearing impaired, understand the role of sign language in deaf lives and understand various perspectives on deafness and culture in the hearing impaired world. Phase 1 will cover visual training, gestures, mime, sign principles, sign vocabulary, sign location, communication process of deaf and hearing impaired persons, terminology in deaf education and signing, receptive and expressive skills. (4 contact hrs) Center Campus.
