RSP 117 - Respiratory Therapy Procedures


An orientation to the equipment and techniques used in the practice of respiratory therapy. Administration of gases, vacuum, regulators and flowmeters, facial devices, tents and hoods. Incubators, chambers and safety procedures. Aerosol therapy, intermittent positive pressure breathing techniques, analysis of gas concentrations, pulmonary function and chest physical therapy. Spring Semester only. (8 contact hrs) Center Campus.
