REC 247 - Recreation Field Work II

The second course of a two-course sequence designed to give the student extended on-the-job experience. Emphasis will be on the following areas: (1) cultural programs such as music, dance, dramatics, and arts and crafts, (2) senior citizen programs, (3) recreation for the physically and mentally handicapped, and (4) public relations. Experience will include at least six hours per week with a recreation agency and two hours per week of classroom work. Spring semester only. (8 contact hrs) Center Campus.
