QUAL 2913 - SPC Technician

(formerly QST 292C) Statistical Process Control is used by most manufacturers to monitor, in real time, the variation in each process. In addition to the percentage of good parts made, the ability of the process to make 100% good parts is calculated. Recommended corrections are also covered. The knowledge of SPC will give students an advantage, (1) to be hired initially and (2) to move into a better position, such as the Quality Assurance department. It requires accurate measurements, math skills, analytical skills, communication skills, and people skills. (4 contact hrs)
