ADN 112 - Maternity Nursing


Theory and practice in the care of mothers and newborn infants. The concepts of family centered nursing are stressed. Within the framework of the child-bearing cycle and adjustment to extrauterine transition, the concepts introduced in Fundamentals are expended. The nursing process is employed as the basis for decisions and action and skill in therapeutic interpersonal relationships are promoted. 8 week course. Spring semester only. (16 contact hrs.) Center Campus.
