NUMT 1120 - Radiation Safety in Nuclear Medicine

NUMT-1120 provides an historical review of the developments in nuclear medicine. It covers safe methods of handling radioactive material, As Low as Reasonably Achievable (ALARA), personnel monitoring, exposure limits and terminology. Students learn the basic principles of radiation biology. (2 contact hrs) Center Campus. Fall semester only.
