MMTC 1350 - Manual Machining Attachments


(formerly MMT 135) This is an introductory course covering various work holding devices and machining attachments. Through the use of audio visual, lecture, and demonstrations, the student will learn the procedures necessary to set up and operate each of the following attachments: the rotary table, dividing head, radius and angle dresser, boring head, sine plates, and various collet holding devices. This is a hands-on machining course that allows the student to develop proper set-up and use of these devices. (4 contact hrs) South Campus. NOTE: MMTC courses are no longer being offered as part of the Manufacturing Technology program. Current students will be contacted by the associate dean’s office and will be given alternate classes to finish their degree. New Manufacturing Technology students should enroll in ATMT-1150, part of the Skilled Trades & Apprenticeship program.
