LIT 173 - Detective Literature


(South Campus Equivalent: ENG 173) A study of the origins and Golden Age of the detective story in America and Britain. Poe, Doyle, Sayers, Christie and Hammett are among the authors studied. Special attention placed upon style and times of the stories. Emphasis on innovative, non-traditional approaches to the study of literature.
