LAT 215 - Ethics and Corporate Case Study


In-depth study of the Michigan Rules of Professional Conduct and their application to attorneys and legal assistants; review of the Code of Judicial Conduct and its application to all Michigan judges, including the ethical responsibilities arising from both Rules and Canons; detailed case study of the organization and operation of a corporation in Michigan, including a comparison of the corporate entity to the sole proprietorship and partnership and a study of the legal, operational and organizational differences; detailed review of the Michigan law of corporations, including the law relating to the establishment, operation and termination of corporate existence, the identification and preparation of all documents forms relating thereto and the role of the legal assistant in corporate matters.
