LAW 145 - Correctional Institutions/Facilities


This course describes the purpose and mission, organization and management, custodial care, safety and security and treatment modalities. Privatization alternatives to incarceration, classification systems, and reintegration of offenders will also be studied. One of five courses certified by Michigan Correctional Officers’ Training Council and successful completion is partial fulfillment of requirements for a Vocational Certificate granted by the Michigan Corrections Commission.
