LAW 144 - Introduction to Corrections


An overview of the historical, philosophical, and contemporary development of corrections. Analysis of the correctional process, including institutional and community-based corrections, legal process and rights, and future. One of five courses certified by the Michigan Correctional Officers Training Council and successful completion is partial fulfillment of requirements for a Vocational Certificate granted by the Michigan Corrections Commission.
