JOU 191 - News Writing

(South Campus Equivalent: JOU 190). Two class hours a week devoted to the principles of news gathering, problems of accuracy, interest, and fairness in reporting, and structuring the basic news story. Two additional class hours a week spent in producing the campus student newspaper; emphasis on basic copyreading, page makeup, and headline writing. Offered every third semester, exclusive of summers. (4 contact hrs)
