EST 151 - Communications Electronic Servicing

Analysis of operating circuits used in communications equipment. Emphasis on RF circuitry used in AM, FM and SSB transmitters and receivers. Diagnosis of faults and methods of correction. Use of test equipment for alignment in accordance with manufacturers’ specifications. Covers portable, mobile, and base equipment. Installation of antennas and methods of delivering power to the antenna system included. (4 contact hrs) South Campus.
