Information Technology - Networking Specialist - Network Security Professional (Cybersecurity), AAS



The Network Security Professional program focuses on cybersecurity issues, techniques and policies as they relate to users, computers, networks and other systems. Completing this program will prepare students for the following certifications: Security+, Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), and the Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP).

Program Description:

The Network Security Professional program focuses on cybersecurity issues, techniques and policies as they relate to users, computers, networks and other systems. Completing this program will prepare students for the following certifications: Security+, Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), and the Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP).

Program Outcomes:

Upon completion of this program, the student will be able to:

1. Apply fundamental network security knowledge.

2. Use cybersecurity tools and applications.

3. Configure systems to improve security.

4. Create a network security analysis.

5. Explain laws and best practices related to cybersecurity.

6. Evaluate different cryptographic methods.
