Program Description:

The Community Leadership Certificate Program will provide students with the opportunity to learn and develop necessary skills for successful employment with non-profit, public sector, and private sector organizations, with an emphasis on the need for adaptation/evolution in a changing social and economic environment. The students will develop organizational skills, leadership skills, cultural, ethical, and community competency, diversity training and practice, coalition/team building strategies, advanced communication skills, and creative problem solving.   The program is designed to highlight the participation of community partners through internships, site visits, and classroom visits/presentations. Students will be required to complete service/internship hours.

Career Opportunities:

Transfer Pathways:

Students intending to transfer and complete a bachelor’s degree need to make early decisions concerning an academic major and a transfer destination. Statistics show that students who make these decisions early are more likely to persist to graduation than their undecided counterparts. Students planning to transfer credits earned at Macomb are strongly urged to see a counselor or academic advisor as early as possible in their college careers.
