LEGA 2010 - Michigan Legal System & Ethics

Prerequisites: None

A general orientation to the Michigan Legal Systems: its courts, processes and procedures. The Federal Court system is also reviewed. In‑depth study of the Michigan Rules of Professional Conduct and their application to attorneys and legal assistants; review of the Code of Judicial Conduct and its application to all Michigan judges; ethical responsibilities of legal assistants arising from the Rules and Judicial Canons.
