Prerequisites: Admission into Health Information Technology Program and HHSC 1700, ITCS 1010, and BCOM 2050 all with grade C or better

Corequisite: HITT 1102, HITT 1103, HITT 1104

This course will introduce students to basic anatomy and physiology, common pathology, diagnostic measures and treatment modalities applied to the field of Medical Assisting. Topics include cells, tissues, organs and the various body systems: integumentary, skeletal, muscular, endocrine, nervous system, cardiology, circulatory, lymphatic, respiratory, digestive, urinary and reproductive systems. This course has been designed specifically for students in the Medical Assistant and Health Information Technology programs.
