MMTC 2520 - Part Processing for Machine Tools


(formerly MMT 252) This course will be project centered, exposing the student to the thought processes involved in producing parts on machine tools. The main emphasis will be on the routing and processing of various parts in the manufacturing process. Laboratory work will be the development and completion of a product with multiple components. Quality control, material choice, and machining processes will be discussed. (5 contact hrs) South Campus. NOTE: MMTC courses are no longer being offered as part of the Manufacturing Technology program. Current students will be contacted by the associate dean’s office and will be given alternate classes to finish their degree. New Manufacturing Technology students should enroll in ATMT-1150, part of the Skilled Trades & Apprenticeship program.
