MSTC 2130 - Failure and Fracture Analysis (Formerly MST 213) Utilization and skill development of non-destructive test and advanced metallographic techniques to determine the presence and cause of failures and defects in metallic materials and components. Emphasis on data accumulation, evaluation, and reporting on (1) fatigue failures, (2) heat treat failures, (3) forming defects, (4) welding defects, (5) corrosion failures, and (6) casting defects.
