MSTC 2110 - Heat Treatment of Steels

(formerly MST 211) Orientation and skill development in the interpretation of microstructural and property changes associated with the heat treatment of steels and other ferrous alloys. Concepts of quench hardening, tempering, case hardening, hardenability, residual stresses and distortion, defect analysis, quality control, and commercial heat treat specification.
