MSTC 1190 - Ultrasonic Testing (UT) (Formerly MST 119) Principles, theories and skill development in testing metallic components for integrity or quality without altering metal structure and properties utilizing the generation and propagation of ultrasonic waves. Equipment setup and calibration, flaw detection, thickness measurements with respect to applicable codes, standards and specifications will be emphasized. Course content is designed to meet A.S.N.T.-No. SNT-TA-1A, Level II requirements. Spring semester only (4 contact hrs) South Campus.
