ECS 292P - Network+ Preparation 2 This course is one of four courses that will prepare the student to take the CompTIA Network+ certification exam. This course covers modem operations, parameters, installation and troubleshooting or modem systems. Also modem modulation techniques, chipsets and loopback tests. Networking OSI model principles, protocols, Local Area Network types, classifications and interfacing standards. Operating systems as they relate to computer networks. This course follows the format of two hours lecture and two hours lab. System problem identification and troubleshooting techniques are emphasized. (4 contact hrs) South Campus.
