CNC 292 - Introductory Computer Graphics for CNC


The purpose of this course is to provide the student with basic training in a three dimensional computer graphics design system. The student will learn to create and manage files, use the keyboard and menus, create and input data, manipulate data, create wire frame models and define surfaces on those models. Also the student will make views and drawings of machine and sheet metal parts, build wire frame models of those parts and define surfaces in preparation for numerical control machines as required to manufacture the parts. This class will prepare the student for future training on other industrial systems such as CGS, CATIA, PDGS, and Computer Vision. (4 contact hrs) South Campus.
