CIS 250 - Assembly Language Programming


Introduction to machine language assembly programming. OS/VS housekeeping conventions; binary and packed decimal arithmetic instructions; input/output macro instructions; data move, compare, and logical instructions; looping and branching concepts. Subroutines and linkage conventions. Single macro definitions. Analysis of core dumps. Student programs will be entered on time sharing terminals. (4 contact hrs) (Taught in the Spring semester of odd years only)
