AT 303 - Machine Theory-Modern Metal Removal Processes


Introduction to the latest non-traditional machining methods. Basic concepts and applications of abrasive jet, ultrasonic machining, electrochemical machining, electrolytic grinding, electrical discharge machining, ion beam, laser, electron beam, magnetic pulse forming, and numerical control of machine tools are studied. This course is subject to periodic change to incorporate the latest methods and practices in the machine tool area.
