ANT 283 - Field Study in Anthropology


An introduction to anthropological field study with both theoretical and practical emphasis in the areas of archaeology, and/or ethnography, and/or physical anthropology. From 20-30 hours will be devoted to excursions into the field to observe and/or practice the methods of the discipline. The remainder of the time will be spent in class preparing for and discussing the field projects. Some equipment purchase may be necessary (4 contact hrs) South Campus.
